The IHEEM Scottish Regional Conference Awards celebrate excellence, innovation and achievement across estates and facilities within healthcare, higher education, and the wider public sector.
Taking place as part of the Scottish Regional Conference in Edinburgh on 10–11 November, these awards recognise the individuals, teams and organisations driving meaningful improvements in environments, sustainability, digital transformation, and service delivery across Scotland.
The awards provide a platform to showcase best practice, share success, and recognise the outstanding contributions being made across the sector.

Apprentice of the Year
This award invites entries from apprentices at intermediate, advanced, higher, and degree level within the Health Service. The apprentice must be based in Scotland.
Estates Champion of Champions
This award recognises a member of the Estates and Facilities team who has gone above and beyond their role to improve their environment. Open to all Scottish hospitals and universities.
Estates and Facilities Team of the Year
This award is presented to a team working in NHS Scotland or universities who can demonstrate outstanding achievement, performance, and delivery of estates and facilities services.
Sustainability Award
This award recognises an organisation, team, or project that has made the best use of innovative technology and sustainable practices to reduce the estates carbon footprint. Open to NHS Scotland organisations, suppliers, and universities
Capital Project of the Year
This award invites entries from hospital or university capital projects completed during 2025 or 2026 that have delivered measurable patient and/or student environmental benefits.
Digital Transformation & AI Award
This award recognises an organisation, team, or project that has successfully used digital technology and/or artificial intelligence to improve estates, facilities, patient experience, operational efficiency, or sustainability. Entries should demonstrate clear impact, innovation, and measurable outcomes within NHS Scotland or universities.

Entries must relate to projects or initiatives that have been completed or fully operational within the last two years.
