Addressing the maintenance backlog in education
Reports from the National Audit Office estimate it would cost above £6.7 billion to restore the school estate in England to a satisfactory standard. At the heart of the education sector, this is a harsh reality that can’t afford to be ignored. Safety, design, and sustainability demands are at the forefront of educational facilities, bridging the gap between the current challenges and future ready solutions. In this presentation, SFG20, the industry standard for building maintenance, will showcase how to tackle this maintenance backlog with limited resource and stretched budgets. The backlog is already overwhelming, and any further delay in taking action worsens the problem. This is a long term project for long term gain within the education sector, and we will tell you how to get started.
